Q: Popup Nuker is not stopping popups on my computer.
A: Popup Nuker will allow popups to appear for any of the following reasons:
- Popup Nuker is not currently running.
- You are using a web browser other than Internet Explorer.
- Popup Nuker is currently disabled. You can check this by looking at the Popup Nuker system tray icon in the bottom right
corner of your task bar. If there is a red "x" in the icon then Popup
Nuker is disabled.
- You are pressing-and-holding the CTRL key. This temporarily
disables Popup Nuker.
- The website you are visiting is on your White List.
This will cause all popups to be allowed to open.
Also note that although Popup Nuker does include anti-spyware popup
protection for many common spyware and adware applications it cannot
physically remove spyware and adware and may not block all spyware popups
successfully.
You can scan your PC for spyware and adware free by visiting www.spywarenuker.com.
Q: How does Popup Nuker work? Do I have to build a list of filters or
web sites?
A: Popup Nuker functions automatically. The anti-popup engine will eliminate
unwanted popups while attempting to allow wanted popups. Popup Nuker
includes a hotkey to temporarily disable Popup Nuker to allow wanted
popups that it may eliminate as well as a White List to permenantly
allow popups from the websites you specify. In addition, Popup Nuker
includes the ability to block Messenger Service popups as well as popups
from many common spyware and adware applications.
Q: I've installed your product but I continue to
receive popup ads from "Messenger Service"
A: Please open Popup Nuker, click the Advanced tab, and check
the option "Block Messenger Service popup spam". Note that Messenger
Service is an integral part of your operating system. You can also disable
Windows Messaging as DETAILED
